Call for Symposium 
Submission Deadline: September 30, 2024
The Asian Paediatric Pulmonology Society (APPS) and the Thai Society of Pediatric Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine (TPRC) will hold the APPS-TPRC 2025 congress from April 2-4, 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand.
As the scientific centerpiece, symposium topics will have a substantial impact on the success of the meeting. With the call for a symposium, we welcome all delegates of APPS and TPRC to contribute to a high-level scientific program by proposing a symposium for the Congress.
Please refer to the following symposium guidelines:
- Symposiums related to pediatric respiratory diseases, critical care, sleep breathing disorders, respiratory and intensive care, and research in these fields are invited.
- Each symposium should focus on a single topic that is relevant and scientifically excellent.
- We are looking for a symposium with an integrative nature, forming a whole that is much more than the mere combination of individual oral presentations.
- We also invite debate topics with pro and con styles, providing an opportunity for engaging and thought-provoking discussions.
- Submission shall be done in English.
After the deadline, symposium proposals will be scored by the Organizing Committee and by invited experts in the proposal’s specific topic. The criteria are:
- Potential interest in the topic to attendees
- Diversity (countries, institutions, genders, career levels)
- Quality of speakers
- Innovation
The standard time allocated per symposium is 45 minutes (2 pro and con speakers) or 60 minutes (3 speakers). Please ensure adequate time for a short introduction and a comprehensive final discussion, questions, and answers. Note that at the time of your proposal submission, all speakers must have already agreed to participate in the symposium.
Symposium proposals will be submitted by e-mail only at regiscon@hotmail.com. The deadline for submitting a proposal is September 30, 2024. Lastly, please note that all submissions must follow the format of the symposium proposal forms attached below. All symposium proposals will be reviewed and selected by the APPS-TPRC 2025 Scientific Committee. Submission delay or inappropriate forms will not be considered. The committee’s decision on acceptance of the submission will be final.
